MP08 Grimlock Upgrade

Hey all...

It's been awhile.

Well, what better to kick off from my long hiatus (was around and have been doing repainting, just haven't updated that's all...heh) with the new Masterpiece Transformer Grimlock. An awesome toy to begin with and with fantastic transformation designs.

Comissioned by long time friend to RK Designs, Toy Workers (http://www.toy-workers.blogspot.com) this was a job that I was happy to do.

I left the gold and certain black parts as it is since it looks just as good and worked on some chrome and gray parts. Gave it some depth with some pre-shading and some highlights.

All is done, here's how it looks.

Upcoming more repainted works. Why the sudden gush of updates? Hey its Transformers month, and it was time to finally show what I've been doing...heh...

Classics Ultra Magnus

Update!

Wow! I'm on a roll here huh?

Anyways, this is my first posting of a Transformer figure after many months...not that I haven't done any, it's just that at the moment I won't be posting those work...not yet. Reason? I got my reasons and I'll disclose it once I've completed the whole bulge of work that I've been doing...that's inclusive of my personal projects...

Okay, so here I have a Classics Ultra Magnus that I repainted from a Classics Nemesis Prime. I've been looking for a Magnus but the prices for that little dude isn't really in my budget, so I thought might as well get me a Nemmy and paint it to a Maggy...hah!

Instead of painting it to like the original Hasbro version of the classics Magnus, I went a did a G1 on it...meaning all white baby!

So here it is...

Ultra Magnus!

G.I. Joe Conquest X-30

Update!

Some work that I did many-many months ago (took a break from the Gundams, Transformers and Star Wars...I mean I got needs to right?).

When I was a kid I used to watch a bunch of cartoons and some were quite an impact to me. Among the shows were G.I. Joe. I had this thing for the military and I loved the show so much until I was obsessed with the figures and vehicles...especially the vehicles. But I was just a kid so my allowance money wasn't enough for me to get any...

Until now...

Many years later Hasbro (thank their kind hearts) is slowly reviving the Joe toy lines. New figures and reissued vehicles. So as an adult now, I finally get a chance to have my fantasies as a boy relived...

But as usual, I'm not the type that would actually let them be as it is...I mean come on...they're G.I. Joe for crying out loud and I think their vehicles should look like vehicles and not toys! My first was the Conquest X-30...The Joe's fighter that I fell in love oh so many years ago...

Here's how the original look like...it was a reissue and a TRU exclusive...hated the colors, I want 'em as I remember 'em...

Here's how I wanted it to look...

Yep...been working on its decals, so there will be an update on this particular vehicle...

Vintage Palitoys Millenium Falcon

Update!

Here's another Millenium Falcon that I worked on awhile back. It's not as big as the new Hasbro version, so my work wasn't as...sizeable. Anyhoo, The reason why this fella was repainted was yellowing. It was so bad that it looked like it was made out of snot. Can't really blame it, this fella was around since 1979.

So my good buddy asked me to refurbished this since he saw my work on the Hasbro Falcon and he hoped that I can actually return this guy to his former glory. So there I was, another Falcon.

A job's a job's right? Didn't manage to take photos of its yellowing so can't really compare, but I think some of you would know.

Here it is...

Palitoy's Millenium Falcon (1979)

Got a request from my pal to change the thrusters to blue. Which is true since I don't remember the Falcon ever had red thrusters...

Go the distance!

Classics Optimus Prime In NBE01 Colors

Update!

Ehem...this isn't really an update actually...LOL...it's a backdated project that I totally forgot to post here at RK Designs. Reason for being, I took pictures and accidently forgotten where I put it. So here it is now.

Comissioned by a friend of mine last year, this Classics series Optimus Prime was recolored to NBE01 scheme. Wtf is an NBE01 color scheme you might ask? Well if you have watched the Transformers 2008 movie you'll remember that Megatron was called NBE01. So there you have it. Here he is, Optimus NBE01...

There you go...another update (heh)...this month theres gonna be a buttload of updates, so stay tuned!
