TFTM Bumblebee Camarro '74 and Starscream

UPDATE!!

Yeah, another update from me in the same day. Guess I'm on a roll at the moment and who knows when is my next update? LOL...

Alrites, here's another TFTM Bumble '74 and Starscream repaint. What's the difference this time around? Simple, its a new stylized version. I've been doing a lot of common repaints (customer's requests) but this time around I was given a chance to do something different. So, I opt to do a little pre-shading technique and normal shading to give these two an old weary look.

Here they are...

Okay...what do you guys think? Well, I have a few more upcoming projects ready to be posted here but like always, theres the waiting period.

By the way, remember the Classics Thrust I mentioned waaay back? Well, its finally looking good despite the many trials and errors. Still working on the bugs and once it's done, I'll be recasting the wings for pre-orders. So stay tuned to RK Designs...

Cheers!

My First Resin Kit

UPDATE!

It's been almost a month since my last update, been a bit busy and haven't had the cam in my hands not to mention my computer. Anyhoo, here's a lil update on what I've been working on since my last update (well, it was done a while back, and i just got hold the cam with the pics in it..heh).

Like I mentioned before, this is my first try on painting and building a resin kit. I got lucky cause this particular kit was a simple spray on and put-together kit. Based with only a pic of the original I did some pre-shading to it and also some handpainting. Initially the guns came separately and since resin isn't like rubber, I had trouble putting in the guns in Neo's hands. So I cut the guns and painted it. Once painted I just slap on a little bit of super glue and just tuck it in the hands...

Okay, here's the finished work...hope it's okay...

I'm still new at doing this but I had fun. I was given another resin kit as a Christmas present and currently working on it slowly. Its a from a chinese comic hero, not so sure who but I'm planning to paint him in my own colors.

Till Next Time!

I'm On Youtube!!

Hey all...

Sadly but no updates for the moment. Accidently deleted most of my latest works in the digicam, so as you all would know, I have to at re-take all the pics...goddarnit...

Anyhoo...until my upcoming updates which are a resin kit and a couple of TFTM repaints, just wanted to share with you all that I've been 'youtube-ed'.

More than a week ago, a group of students from one of our local universities decided to take me as one of their subject matter in their project. It seems I was recommended to them by a friend of mine and truth be told, I felt honored. So after a whole day of shooting (which later you can see how clean my room is...heh...yeah rite...) the did the editing and uploaded in on 'youtube'.

Here's the link and for the first time ever, you all (to those who don't know me or how I look like...) will be able to see my face and...*gasp*...talking!! And it is true, that the camera does add a few pounds on us, the double chin you see later is all the camera...yep...all of it...heh...

Enjoy!

TFTM Voyager Nemesis Prime

Update!

Well, it's been awhile since I've done any Nemesis color scheme projects. And lo' behold here is one of them. I've been itching to work on a TFTM Voyager Optimus because I think the proportion looks nice, the only downpart is those humongous backpack which is his front end of his truck mode.

Okay, a friend comissioned to do this fella (heh..he's been wanting to do a Voyager Nemesis like ages ago, the problem is he couldn't find another extra figure to paint...lol). So as usual disassembling the guy to itty bitty little pieces. It was kinda new to me since it's my first Voyager (kinda tired of doing Leader Megatrons and Primes...) so I had to be careful not to accidently take out parts which aren't suppose to be taken out (not to mention forgetting which part goes where...heh...). Using my usual custom Nemesis colors (i found out someone is using the same scheme as me now...go figure...but those who are used to my work will know that its an unofficial patented color to RK Designs right?...erm...right guys?)

Enough chatter, here is the big mean guy in all his glory.

Thats all for now good people. There will be more...so stay tuned! By the way, I'm also working on my first resin kit. It's something new, so just be on the lookout once it's done. And also I would like to mention some upcoming Gunpla projects, the 1/100 Gundam Exia and MG F-91.

Until next time then...Cheriohohoho...

Blast From The Past!

Update!
Well, it really isn't an update. Just some new photo shots of a project I worked on a long time ago. It can be considered the turning point of what I do now, if it wasn't for this fella...I think no one would ever trust me to do a Transformer repaint.

This Masterpiece Starscream (Takara) was originally dark greenish gray and was the subject of massive criticism. So a friend (Shah...I owe you big for the chance you gave me...) comissioned me to repaint it to Starscreams original G1 colours.

To know the story, you can go here --> Masterpiece Starscream Repaint To G1

Now this fella belongs to a new owner, Arya (yeah...the guy who takes cool pictures! Stop already okay!) and he has done a great job in capturing the essence and feel of this Decepticon.

So, maybe yeah it's an update...updated pictures...

Enjoy!

Next Update: Will be announced!

Transformers Movie Skywarp

Update!
Here's another project that I worked on a few weeks back. I was given the task to repaint a Voyager Class Movie Starscream to Skywarp. As you all remember, Skywarp was one of the Seekers (a team of Decepticon aerial attackers lead by Starscream) and it hasn't been known to be released...yet. Since Thundercracker is out, I suppose Skywarp won't be far behind. The diffference is this one is done by RK Designs. Heh.

Enough talk, here's the last remaining Seeker.

As you can see from the Zarak Convoy update, the pictures are taken by their respective owners. And all I can say is thanks for helping me out and you guys have done a great job!

Next Update: A Blast From The Past!

P.S: If you all noticed that I've turned off my comments section. As much as I appreciate criticism, I just can't accept REALLY STUPID REMARKS! If you don't know who you are, here's a hint, "Since when did Bumblebee become yellow? Please do your research!! Demand to see the real Bumblebee colours!". As you can see from that quote, there are stupid a$$holes around which don't know sh*t about Transformers. Oh yeah, the guy stays in Subang, so if any Transformer fans meet up with this d*ck of a fan, please do me the honours of smacking his face to the ground. Adieu...

Transformers Zarak Convoy

Update!
Here is a project that I worked on a few months ago.

This project was given to me by my good pal Arya (you know..the guy who can take some pretty kicka$$ pictures?...yeah..thats him...). Originally an Energon Optimus Prime and Wingsaber, he asked if there was a chance to do something like Mega Zarak (the japanese counterpart for Scorponok). Looking at the very hefty fella, I tried to figure out wether the color scheme would match the bot.

It did. Perfectly.

So this is the new reincarnation of Energon Optimus Prime...Zarak Convoy.

Galaxy Force Hot Rod

Hideeho people,
It's been awhile since I've posted any latest works, well its not that I haven't done anything its just that I have been pretty busy with a bunch of stuff lately. Anyways, I have done a few works for my customers but currently I'm digicam-less so you have to forgive me for that (I know..I know..I should be investing in one..I get it...).

So until I can get myself a proper cam and take pics of my latest works (which includes a Mega Zarak Convoy, Leaderclass Movie Megatron-Robocop color scheme, Classics Magnus to NBE-1 scheme, Movie Skywarps...) I'll have to make do with the last work that I did a few months back.

This here was originally a Galaxy Force Hot Shot. As some of you would know, Hot Shot's design was based on the G1 Hot Rod. So A friend comissioned me to repaint the fella to his original colors from the hit cartoon show in the 80's. Lucky for me a friend of mine passed me some Reprolabel stickers of Hot Rod and I quickly took the opportunity to use it.

Usually I would make the colors semi gloss or matte, but in this guys case, I made him shine. It wasn't easy but the outcome was pretty good.

So here you have the Galaxy Force Hot Rod!

Too hot to handle!

Sorry again for the crappy pics...I had a crappy camera that time...but it managed to do its job.
Oh yeah, another thing, I'm also going back to my roots which is Gunpla (Gundam Plastic). Just picked up the latest kit called the Gundam Exia scaled 1/100. Will be working it on the sidelines and definitely will be posted here. Since I'm back with Gunpla, I'll do some rotations with some of my present and previous works. That way this blog will keep on being updated despite not having a proper digicam...LOL...
Cheers all!
