Hasbro Jedi Starfighter (Hot Rod Scheme)

Update!

Okay this was quite an old project actually. Thankfully I had a very patient client/friend (Sorry Bang Ajie! heh). The reason that it took long was the amount of trials and errors (a lot of errors!) while doing it. You see, my friend wanted something different. And he saw this scheme in one of his Star Wars concept book. It was called the 'Hot Rod' scheme.

When I first saw it, I was excited and scared at the same time. Yes, the amount of masking would be phenomenal...but like always, I do love a challenge.

So as the project began, there were a bunch of techniques I tried which didn't go as I thought it would. Until finally...it worked.

So here's the Jedi Starfighter with the 'Hot Rod' scheme.

Next up is some Gundams and an X-Wing...say whaaaaaat?! Heh...

Revoltech Warhammer Machine

Update!

Alriteys...now there's a little history on this guy. Not the big kind of history, but just a slight doo doo that I did.

Okay, well...I received this guy a few months back to be repainted. It was planned to be painted to the 'Milk' style color scheme. But the client requested a different color style. So after a sample color was given to me, I started to work on it.

What happened? Let's just say that I experimented with the wrong paints on the wrong surface. LOL.

Stripped the paint down, and did a whole new cover for it. The color chosen were black, copper and silver. The choice of copper sort of gave me the feeling that it was influenced by the Warhammer series. Which I think was a pretty good idea!

So enough prattling, here's the guy in full disclosure!

More completed works coming soon! (I'm really pushing myself this time, to make sure I finish all my commissions before I move to my new house! Yay!)

Ciao!

1/35 WW2 Diorama 'The Ambush' Part 01

UPDATE!

Whoa...2 months of no postings! No wonder people thought I was dead...LOL.

Well, actually I've been working on a bunch of stuffs but haven't had the time to post it here (in some countries it's called...LAZY). Been here and there, doing this and that. And before I knew it...it's been two months of no postings.

Anyhoo, one of the things that I've been working on is a World War 2 diorama. This project has been going on for almost a year. Now, it being a year is due to the experimentation that I've been doing. It was my first WW2 military diorama. And furthermore I had to 'undo' this project from the previous person who did it. I can tell you that it wasn't fun. Trust me.

So here's the first diorama. The whole idea behind this was that the diorama can be separated or if the owner wanted it to be a single huge diorama.

Before designing the dio, I discussed on the story. The main title was 'Ambush' and this side of the dio was from the German's section. You can see the aloofness of the German soldiers since the story behind this was they were all getting their supplies and preparing for an attack. For this diorama, I was given:

- 1 Train (Dampflokomotive BR86)
- 1 Panzerjagerwagen
- 1 Marder 3
- 10 German Soldiers + 1 Dog

The BR86 train and Panzerjagerwagen came with some tracks and I added in the dio. I decided to make it as though the Germans have dug out the area to smack in the tracks for their supply runs.

Master Grade GAT-X102 Duel Gundam

Update!

Another forgotten post. LOL. A friend actually asked me if I've built any of the new MG Gundam Seed mechas, and I said 'yeah...lookit up on my blog man...'

But there wasn't any, except for the conversion duel that I did awhile back.

So here I am, posting it now. After...jeez I can't remember how long.

Alright, what's the story? When it was first announced that the Duel Gundam was coming out, I think I was the few that cried out in glee. As a tear dropped, I vowed to get one for myself. You see I've always been a fan of the Duel Gundam. Aside from the Strike (which IMHO is one of the most nicely designed gundams) the Duel was always my second choice. And after almost a year it was announced, it finally came out. I grabbed one for myself and took it home to build it with careful and ease. I wanted to paint it, but due to work constraints...I had to hold on to that.

Until a good buddy of mine asked if I could paint it for him. He's built it, but needs the necessary paints to get it looking good. And with a big smile, I agreed...

The paint apps for this guy is actually interesting. Firstly, the Duel isn't white or gray. He's actually on a very light tone of gray...I made the assaultshroud armour a little bit darker since i wanted it to go with a military feel to it. (It's going to be repainted soon since my friend wanted it to be lighter...)

Okay, so here it is...

Will be sharing more Gunpla works soon once I'm done with a few more. Yep, it's been Gunpla months for me lately.

See you when I see you!

Yamato 1/60 VF-1S Thunder Hammer

Update.

Okay...I kinda owe my good buddy Hizal an apology for this. This commissioned work was done waaaaaay back and somehow I forgot to post it here (kinda forgot where I placed the images...heh). So here I am, sharing it here after a few months...I'm so gonna get flack for this from him...heheheheh

Alright, this project took me quite some time to do. Roughly about a year. Yes. Had to do clean ups since it was a resin kit. Apart from that, my airbrush gave me some trouble. And among other things. But thankfully it was done, without further hiccups.

I present to ye all...

Yamato 1/60 VF-1S Thunder Hammer

Alrite...hopefully Hizal will continue talking and commissioning me for his Macross jobs...lol.

Till next time!

Hasbro Iron Monger (Ironman 1 Movie)

Update.

Looks like it's been awhile. I've been busy. Heh.

Alright, so what's my new posting all about? Actually it's another Ironman figure, but not just any figure...but the Iron Monger! Now this figure actually came out way back in 2008. This fella came with a gimmick, squeeze his legs and you'd get a punch/grab action with his torso turning. Erkh...

The color scheme was pretty bad, not at all like the movie version. I have one, yes...and I've done some 'modifications'...but that's another story...

So, I was contacted a couple of weeks back by someone who wanted to repaint his Iron Monger figure. I was hesitant to take the job, but I've been dabbling in some new techniques so I'd wanted to try it out. I took the job.

After some tinkering with the paints, mixing and testing on other surfaces I finally decided on the style I wanted to do. And within a short time (roughly a week...)...it was done...

Here it is...

Hasbro Iron Monger (Ironman 1 Movie version)

This is how it actually looked like before the repaint...true story...

Aaaaaaaaand...that's all folks, for now that is. Heh.
