Hasbro Ironman 2 War Machine (Re-Imagined)

Update!

Jeez...how hard it is for me to update nowadays...hahahah...

Okay, so a little while ago (make that a few years) I was given by a friend an extra War Machine figure. Since it was an extra, I did it up into the milk version...if you all remembered it, here's the link:

I tried to sell it in the local market, but apparently nobody seemed to be interested (unless it was a Hot Toys figure...). So after some time, I stripped off the paint and planned to make another color scheme.

That was many months ago before my little Audrey was born.

Got back into painting after a long break and I need to finish up some Ironman figures. So I had to do some R&D in getting the right colors and I sort of stumbled upon this new color.

Getting inspiration, I remembered the War Machine that I was working on. The idea behind it now was a 'What if...' situation.

What if Tony Stark actually made the War Machine armour for himself?

This is your answer...

Yup...I think he looks pretty good, but I'm upset that the camera didn't manage to capture his 'true' colors like this:

Known as Candy Red with a base coat of gold and black. Might plan to sell it, but still pondering on that. Heh.

Until next time then!
Ciao!

Hasbro Movie Ironman Mark 5 (Repaint)

Update!

Yeah...it's been awhile right? Actually I've done a few things, but I'm gonna lump it all in one posting. This one is a different story. You see, after the Ironman 2 movie I sought out as many of the figures that I could get. I was lucky to get the Mark 5 at one of our retail stores. But sadly, the paint applications on the figure was...horrible.

So I told myself, I'll fix this guy up.

I did.

I know that the movie version was more shiner and had the 'bling' effect. But as usual, me being the person I am...not that keen on bling...(that sorta rhymes doncha think? heh) So I gave it a much more down to earth color to it. Red as red as it can be and the silver on more of a humble side. Here's the finished work...

This is how he actually looked like...before the repaint.

Until another update!

(PS: This entry was backlogged for quite some time...and the project was started...erm...the same year as Ironman 2...you do the math...)

Hasbro 6" Ironman Mark 6 Stealth

Update!

Some guy sort of said to me that my repaints were not as good since 'people say' that I can't paint 'bling' or do the metallic style painting. What these people didn't know, I just chose NOT to do it. Why settle for what everybody is doing? But apparently, the decision to not play with 'bling' colors got some people trying to 'lowball' me and asking very ridicolously low prices for my repainted works...and that is really...*blip*...ouh...got censored...hahahaha...

Alright, so in trying to prove to this people...I took a Hasbro 6" Mark 6 figure and decided to make it...'bling. How so? By doing the stealth color version of Tony Stark's Ironman armour. Did some research on the color scheme and finally decided.

So here it is...in all it's 'bling' greatness!

And to further prove that it's 'bling'...snap some pics with flash!

Here's a repulsor blast for ya'...says Ironman to lowballers...heh

Hasbro 6" Ironman Mark 4 (beta version)

Update!

Yep, it looks like it's IRON-MADNESS at RK Studios!! Everything has gone IRON-ny...heh...

Alrite, now I had an extra Hasbro 6" Ironman 2 Mark 4 figure. This one is pretty neato since it has Tony Stark's head (in this case Robert Downey's) and is detachable. I was wondering what should I do with this guy and did a survey on what other custom colors or design I can do. Was thinking of going for a seriously heavy mod but then I decided to add a little modding and a nice gray color scheme. Now why gray?

I thought to myself, if Tony Stark developed the Mark 4, there was bound to be a 'beta' version. The trial armour. So that was the reasoning behind this suit's design and colors.

I added some silver to certain parts of the armour to create that prototype look meaning it's a halfway done armour, and slapped on some kotobukiya after market parts just to give some details.

Yeah. Now that's what I call IRON'ing out the design...heheheh. Till next time!

Hasbro 6" War Machine Repaint (HT Milk ver. scheme)

Update!!!

Yep...deserves a triple exclamation mark! Why? Cause it has been awhile. Now I know I'm supposed to post my Hasbro Transformers Custom Competition Entry photos, but I haven't gotten to taking proper pics.

But I got something else...this is a project that I've been working on for quite some time. I had with me an extra Hasbro 6" War Machine figure (the movie version) and was thinking of doing a custom. Then I found out that Hot Toys came out with a 'milk version' (I'm not sure why they call it that way...), and I decided to make one for myself. I'm not those who can afford to buy a Hot Toys figure, but I can afford the time to make a 6" version. Heh.

Basically I tried to color it the same as it's Hot Toys counterpart, but I added a little details of my own. What were they?

- Intakes on the left and right of the outer rib area.
- Some panels on the knee.
- Boosters on the back.
- Some simple decals.

Have a look!

Well, That's all for now. I've been hit with the Ironman bug, so expect to see more works on them. Let's just say that...finally, my IRONMEN PROJECT is ON!

Repulsors are go!
